Like the previous contest, there will be different categories for each job, and the winning entry in each category will be implemented in-game for players to obtain in the future. Square Enix has announced a Final Fantasy XIV weapon design contest. Unlike previous contests, those who wish to participate will only be designing weapons for the currently existing Job Classes within the game. Contestants will not need to design any accompanying armor sets, or other miscellaneous items, in order to enter the competition.
